As her skills and education advanced over the years, she moved onto training more difficult and intense breeds like Belgian malinois, German Shorthair Pointers, Whippets and German Shepherds. Now, 13 years later, Jess has titled and handled over 20 dogs in various competition sports. She has not only titled in multiple sport venues, she has also titled many different breeds! Jess is particularly passionate about competition/sport obedience .Jess has attended and continues to attend many training seminars, webinars and training workshops held by other professional dog trainers. It is important to Jess that she is kept current on the most modern techniques of dog training.
Jess and her dogs have attended and placed in several international sport world championships. Additionally, she has been showcased on ESPN as well as : newspapers, news TV stations, halftime shows for the NBA…ect
Why is it important to pick a trainer that has titled or, competes dogs in obedience/sports?
Competing in a dog sport means “proving yourself” in new environments, without rewards or corrections (and usually off leash), while being judged by a non-biased third party against a defined set of criteria. Choosing a dog trainer with high level accomplishments such as teaching and proofing advanced dog training exercises, plus the capability to demonstrate reliability, matters a lot when choosing the best dog trainer for your dog.
